Traditional Tastes of Old Savonia

Travel back in time to taste the traditional delicacies of the Savonia region

At Riimukivi Historical Farm, you can experience the atmosphere of times gone by in an authentic historical setting. Take a walk through the old garden, pet the friendly sheep, browse handcrafted goods in the Craft Shop, and enjoy traditional local delicacies in the Summer Café, served by staff dressed in authentic historical clothing.

Here you can order Riimukivi Farm’s Traditional Tasting Menu in advance. The menu includes:

  • Lanttukukkonen, a rutabaga-filled rye pasty with freshly churned butter

  • Cabbage pie with pickled cucumbers

  • Bilberry rye pie with cardamom cream

  • Rose-lingonberry cake

The price of the Traditional Tasting Menu, including drinks, is €28 per person (€31 if purchased on site).
The price includes soot-pot coffee or tea from the fire table – or, if you prefer a cold drink, water or juice.

All dishes are lactose-free. The Tasting Menu is also available in vegan or gluten-free versions, although some changes to the menu may occur.

Please note that the Tasting Menu can only be booked during the Summer Café’s opening hours:
Tuesday to Saturday, 23 June–8 August, and Friday to Saturday, 14–29 August.

Our staff will gladly share stories about life in Savonia and at Riimukivi Farm 200 years ago.
